When thinking of luxurious materials, some common materials that come to mind may be velvet, marble and leather - however we are seeing an increase in the use of burl wood that demonstrates a high-end feel within interior design.

The ‘Salsa Verde’ project by Arent & Pyke Studio shows a great use of the material across multiple spaces.

Acting as a neutral, the burl wood creates a base for designers to embrace colour and patterns in their projects, while also emulating a sense of play and intrigue in itself.
