Stripes are back in a big way!

The pattern of stripes has always been a popular design choice within the world of fashion and interior design, but the last few years have seen a huge shift in the use of stripes across the homewares industry. The versatile and timeless pattern can be used in countless ways, from bold ceramics to subtle soft furnishings like bath towels, cushions and throws.

Stripes bring a dynamic and energetic feel to the space and adding items like lamps, cushions, artwork and vases are one of the easiest ways to tie a space together!

It’s fun to consider the colour palette of your accessories as well as the overall form, as colour has such a strong impact on a space. For example, you can achieve such a vibrant and bold aesthetic when you are using complimentary colours (opposite sides of the colour wheel) and also produce a more harmonious and calming look with analogous colours (those that sit beside each other on the colour wheel).

The great thing about this pattern is the versatility of it, which allows for personal style and creativity to play a part, so you can ensure your space feels comfortable and is an expression of your own style.
